1940s Ford 'Lets Take It Easy' License Topper Description: This is a vintage metal sign that was designed to be attached to the license plate. It dates from the 1940s and was produced by the Ford Motor Company to promote road safety. It shows a cartoon policeman (embossed) and reads "Let's Take It Easy" -also embossed and shows the Ford logo. An unusual old Ford sign that would suit the collector of Ford memorabilia or owner of a Ford vehicle of this era Size: The red display area measures approx 3 3/4 by 3 3/4 inches in size and total length including the attachment bracket is 6 1/2 inches. Condition: Used Rating (4 out of 5) It is in good condition for its age with some surface wear, some minor paint loss and some areas of surface rust. Could do with a good clean. There are a couple of minor scratches and general wear across the paint -only noticeable up close. It is quite straight with no dents and would make a nice display item on a period Ford car or truck or hot rod.
