Bayston was Head, Automobile Engineering, American School, Chicago Member, Society of Automotive Engineers Lecturer, Federal Association of Automobile Engineers, Chicago. Published by the American Technical Society in 1921. 'Many Ford owners undertake to do a great deal of their own repairing. In order to do this work satisfactorily an understanding of the operating principles and the construction of the various units of the car is necessary. The author has prepared this volume in simple non-technical language so that the work may be easily understood by the layman or the mechanic'. The book is illustrated with diagrams. It is somewhere between a hard and soft cover book.

The book is in very good condition for its age. It has some wear and marks on the cover and on the corners. The binding is in very good condition as are the inside page. It has in pencil (you could easily rub it out) a name and Xmas 1925 written on the inside cover.
