Original Model T Ford Emergency Kit Tin -1920s Description: This is an original Model T Ford Emergency Kit dating from the 1920's. This tin was sold as an accessory for the Model T by the Ford Dealers. The photo below shows a description of the kit from the Model T Ford Service Bulletins of the 1920s. As described in the Service Bulletins the purpose of the kit was to hold a spare Spark plug, tyre repair outfit, 2 headlight bulbs and one tail light bulb (please note these contents are not included). On the front it reads "FORD EMERGENCY KIT, Ford Motor Company Detroit, Michigan USA". The service bulletins encouraged the Ford Dealers to sell these to the customers when they purchased their new Model T. This is an unusual old Model T accessory that would suit the collector of Ford memorabilia or Model T owner. Size: This is a metal tin that measures approx 5 by 3 1/2 inches and 1 1/2 inches tall. Condition: Used Rating (3 out of 5) It is in fairly good condition for its age with some general wear on the old blue paint, with some patches worn away. There are some small dents and some patches of surface rust and grime.       |
